Welcome to our older episodes of Cavalry Man 86! In this episode, We are celebrating Apollo's 13th birthday & sharing with you a homemade dog food recipe (listed below). Original airdate: Apr 2018.

Dog Food Recipe:

1 cup rice (not instant)
1 lbs frozen peas or green beans (veggies)
1 1/2 lbs frozen diced chicken
32 oz scrambled egg mixture

Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a medium to large pot. Once boiling, pour in the rice, making sure that the rice is fully covered by the water. Turn the heat down to a simmer & cover rice. Cook for 7 minutes.

While rice is cooking, spray large mixing bowl with cooking spray & then pour in the egg mixture. Place in the microwave & cook on high for 9 minutes.

Once the rice is done, turn off the heat & pour in the veggies & the chicken. Let sit until the egg mixture is done.

Once the egg mixture is done, ruff chop the egg mixture into smaller pieces. Then pour in the rice, veggies, & chicken & mix all together.

Julie had to correct me on how long these batches last. For our 2 dogs, they each get 2 cups of this food per day & the batch lasts about 3 days. Not weeks like I thought it did.
