2004 Florida Gaylord Palms Hotel and convention center Convergence 2004

I’d spent years working for Microsoft as a trade show support specialist. Working with prototype sample hardware, trying to get advanced prototype software from Microsoft to work together. In an environment here Bill Gates, Steve Ballmer and the Giants of Microsoft will be showing off the latest and greatest that Microsoft had to offer, we were the true Bleeding Edge. What a fun job.
My group was TSG (Trade Show Group), between 15 and 40 individuals traveling constantly around the world to support various trade shows. Traveling 25 days a month on average, and working 120 hours a week.
This show was called Convergence 2004 in Orlando Florida, at the Gaylord Palms Hotel and Convention center.
Only 3 miles from Disney World, but when you work 18 hours a day it didn’t really matter. We went to Disney World (Pleasure Island) a Disney themed shopping area outside Disney World twice.
