Bones, stones, and Ola plays a game - Henry Morgenthau Preserve

In this trip, we came across a small preserve in #NY called #HenryMorgenthauPreserve. It's a small unassuming entrance across from some houses on a relatively quiet road. It is a beautiful area that preserves #history and exhibits various diverse areas such a forests, wetlands, ponds, and a lake to name a few. It is in #PoundRidge and is adjacent to #BlueHeronLake. Visiting will show not only various tree species, but has a spot to view birds and other wildlife around the lake as well as stone walls that were once used for #livestock and #agriculture. There are several trails that you can choose to take through the various land areas and signs that give interesting #facts on the #geology, #flaura, and #fauna displayed in the preserve.
