Trump: Witch Hunt

Journalists intercepted Trump for a brief conversation today as he left the joint Andrews base to visit the border with Mexico and oversee the construction of the Wall.

- Mr. President, what happened at the Capitol?

- So. We're going to Texas to the southern border. As you know, we want to finish the Wall. We wanted to expand it. We are expanding. This is incredibly successful and far beyond expectations. We stop them (illegal immigrants) in large numbers. Drugs have entered our country for many years, decades. We stop a lot of illegal immigration in large, huge numbers. There really seems to be a surge right now because people are coming up (to the boundaries). Some caravans are starting to form because they think there will be many opportunities for them if they can get through, but we can stop it. The wall made a huge difference in the situation. I think some of you agree with me, but know: the wall is of great importance on the southern border. We are concerned about this and we do not want violence. No violence whatsoever.

And about impeachment ... This is actually the continuation of the greatest witch hunt in the history of politics. This is ridiculous. That's just funny. This impeachment is causing terrible anger. And this is really a terrible thing that Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer are doing as they continue down this path. I believe that this poses a huge danger to our country and arouses great anger. I don't want violence. Thank you very much.
