At the very beginning of white shark evolution, there are at least two subspecies:
One of them has jagged (serrated) teeth that would have likely later evolved into the current great white shark.
Other ratios were smooth serrated (less rough) and tended to achieve a larger volume than this. This group includes extinct sharks such as "Megalodon" and "Carcharodon", which like most of the extinct sharks have been identified by the discovered teeth.
