Pentatonic Paradox - Original Guitar Song By Unfinished Workz

This song is called
'Pentatonic Paradox'.

Since the day I learned the penatonic scale, i've always wanted to make a song that uses it in some way. A couple night ago I decided to make a song that uses it exclusively instead. To take things further, the left hand would remain in one position for the entirety of the song.

With an arsenal of only 6 notes, it would be up to my other hand to provide enough variety to make those notes sound interesting. Suprisingly, this very constraining criteria for a song lead to a lot more variety than I expected.

This song is called 'pentatonic paradox' because it gave me a more visceral understanding of something i had only understood on an intellectual level before.

There is a paradoxical relationship between limitations and possibilities.

Sometimes limitations can open up new possibilities that perhaps you didn't realize were there before. Gluing my left hand onto a single fret gave me very few options but struggling with those limits made me use my right hand in ways i haven't ever thought of before (insert masturbation joke here). It changes the thought process from 'i can do anything with this guitar, the sky is the limit, what should i make?' to 'i cant do much with my left hand just sitting still, but what can i do to make something anyways?'

Changing the question in your head from 'what should i?' to 'what can i?' is a subtle yet profound difference in thinking. So, dont make the mistake of thinking that limitations are always a negative thing because sometimes they are a great opportunity for expanding what's possible.
