In the summer of 2020, months before the election, Trump repeated at that he had won the November election, even before ONE vote cast and counted. You may recall in 2016, his response to losing the popular vote was to accuse the Democrats that they committed voter fraud against him. He said, "In many places, like California, the same person votes many times — you've probably heard about that," Trump said. "They always like to say 'oh, that's a conspiracy theory' — not a conspiracy theory, folks. Millions and millions of people."
For 5 yrs, Trump purposely instilled a belief in the minds of his supporters that "no matter" the outcome of the election, it was not legitimate unless he won. His supporters cannot justify why they believe fraud took place this November. They "feel" that fraud happened. It is an emotional truth in their minds rather than a factual truth supported by evidence. This is because Donald Trump purposely created an emotional association between the election and the idea of fraud—no different than associating Hillary Clinton with idea of being crooked. This is a propaganda technique Trump uses to manipulate the emotions of his audience. So it is important
