Lake of the Ozarks Cop Gets Hit by Car
Police officer gets hit by a truck on the side of the highway at the Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri.
The Officer also happens to be an Army National Guard Soldier. After being struck at approximately 60 miles per hour and thrown approximately 30 feet, he was initially unresponsive, with no pulse, until as fate would have it, several courageous individuals intervened.
He was eventually revived by a quick acting partner, a nurse who was passing by, and two fellow Army National Guard Soldiers who also happened to be passing by, one of which who was a combat medic.
The Officer was life-flighted to the hospital where he ultimately survived with a tib/fib fracture, C1 vertebrae fracture, skull fracture, and an avulsed (smashed off) ear.
He has since recovered from his injuries and continues to serve in the Missouri National Guard.
