People Are Strange by the Doors - Relaxing Piano Cover by Guy Faux.

“People are Strange” was written in 1967 by the American rock band the Doors.

Jim Morrison, who was depressed at the time, had gone on a walk through the Hollywood Hills with several of his band mates. The walk had invigorated him and he began to scribble the lyrics on a piece of paper.

Morrison recalled later that the lyrics and melody of the chorus had come to him very quickly.
The song was released as the B-side to “Unhappy Girl”. It was from the band’s second album “Strange Days” which was released in September 1967.

The song reached to the number one spot on the charts in Canada, #9 in New Zealand, #12 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and #10 on the U.S Cash Box Top 100.

Since the song has a natural swing feel, I thought a nice jazzy Intro would be a perfect fit.

For anyone who wants to learn my Intro, here is the chord progression: Em7, Cmaj7, Am7, Em7, Am7(b5), Em7(b5), D#dim7, Cmaj7, Am7, Em7, Am7(b5), Em7, B7, Cmaj7, Am7, B7.

I also thought I nice bluesy solo in the middle would be a good addition, as well as a slight classical touch for the ending.
