In this video I will be painting watercolor still life that includes a burning candle and dark background. I decided to use mixed media technique - a combination of watercolor, oil pastels and white ink. Are you familiar with this technique? Let me know in comments!
Here are the materials I used:
300 lb (640 gsm) cold press watercolor paper 100% cotton
Watercolors by Daniel Smith: Crimson Lake, Scarlet Lake, New Gamboge, Phtalo Blue, Cancade Green, Olive Green
Stephen Quiller:Magenta, Permanent Orange
Windsor and Newton: Windsor Red
Dr. Ph. Martin's Pen White Ink
Faber Castel Oil Pastels, set of 12
Round and flat watercolor brushes
Scrubber brush, fine grain sandpaper
