You have a superpower. How often do you use it?

Those that exhibit self control are super human. This is one of the hardest attributes to exhibit consistently. But for us to fulfill our destiny as Entrepreneurs, self control is a huge part. Weather it’s self control over, time usage, eating, anger, thought life, prayer time, or even being offended. As believers we have this as a fruit of the Spirit. (Galatians 5:22-23) We need to grab ahold to the Holy Spirit and rely on His strength to grow us up. This is not a “get out of jail” card, we must practice controlling ourselves.

As aspiring entrepreneurs our ability to control ourselves is key to leading a successful life. When you exhibit self control over an issue, situation, or relationship, you exhibit real power. No one or thing can have control over you and your decisions. When we give in to selfishness we now are being controlled by the issue or person. When this happens we no longer can lead effectively.

Self control is the ability to not be affected or controlled be an issue or person. And this does not mean, be anti social. This means you have the ability to chose right no matter the action or temptation being directed at you.

Today take note of the issues or people in your life that you seem to lose “self control” with. Try to grab the temptation and exhibit self control. Start to take every thought captive and realize that you can and will make the right choice to love, respect, (if it’s an issue) yourself and if it’s a person, that person as a creation of The Most High. This will be something that you will develop more and more the rest of your life. Do not get frustrated the moment you lose it. Practice, practice, practice… you will get stronger.
