2019 Softail Slim Sissy Bar: Forge LLC 24" with Luggage Rack vs HD One-Piece Tall Rigid Mount

I purchased my Softail Slim last May. I was heading to Laconia in June and I needed a sissy bar to mount my luggage for the trip. I wanted a tall rigid mount sissy bar with a luggage rack like the setup I had on my Sportster. Harley offered a sissy bar that fit the bill but did not offer a luggage rack that was compatible. I bought and installed Harley Davidson's One-Piece Tall Rigid Mount on my Softail Slim. I had hoped at some point Harley would come out with a luggage rack that would work with this Sissy Bar. It's been over a year and still no compatible luggage rack. Today I replaced it with a Forge LLC 24" sissy bar with a luggage rack. In this video I show both sissy bars and give my opinion of the two. The video starts with an image of a bag mounted on the Forge LLC sissy bar. The bag is a Kuryakyn Freeloader Duffle Bag. FYI - If you are looking for a day to day bag for your sissy bar, the Freeloader is an excellent choice. I use it constantly. Ride safe.
