International Cat Day, why do we celebrate it?

International Cat Day is an annual celebration on August 8th every year. The activity was started for the first time in 2002 by the International Fund for Animal Care.
This day is celebrated on February 17th in most of Europe, while it is celebrated on March 1 in Russia, and the United States of America celebrates International Cats Day and American National Cats Day on October 29 every year.
