Cat sees a Ghost at Top of Stairs

These are my cats Thor & Oranges. I moved into this House a few years ago and slowly over time I have heard footsteps up stairs. I have heard what sounds like someone throwing books at the wall in the basement. Doors have opened by themselves and now my cats have begun to notice something... or someone (Ghost) that sits at the top of the stairs watching us on the Sofa as we eat and watch TV. Overall i think it is a friendly ghost.
