U.S. Army paratroopers assigned to 2nd Battalion, 503rd Parachute Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade alongside soldiers from the 12th Combat Aviation Brigade conduct platoon live fire exercises during Exercise Rock Frost II in Grafenwhoer, Germany from Nov. 30, 2020 to Dec. 10, 2020. Exercise Rock Frost is a squad and platoon level training event at Grafenwoehr Training Area, testing our Rock paratroopers' skills with small unit tactics and live fire exercises. All training is conducted under COVID-19 mitigation measures and with plenty of Bavarian winter weather. The 173rd Airborne Brigade is the U.S. Army's Contingency Response Force in Europe, providing rapidly deployable forces to the United States European, African and Central Command areas of responsibility. Forward deployed across Italy and Germany, the brigade routinely trains alongside NATO allies and partners to build partnerships and strengthen the alliance. (U.S. Army video by Sgt. John Yountz)
