Why death Row is a Good Thing & Brandon Bernard's execution / Grant Sikes

I’ve had enough. I wanted to talk about the #Brandonbernard case because no one is telling the truth. I wanted to discuss capital punishment and why it’s required in a civil society. Like I said in the video I respect your opinions, but understand what your having an opinion on.

I think Brandon deserved to be executed, on December 10th.
Brandon wasn’t a “good guy”, actually Brandon was an 18-year-old who made a choice-to brutally murder two youth pastors named Stacey and Todd- and I think it’s unjust for Stacey and Todd and their family/friends to forget just for a second about that “mistake” that Brandon chose to make.

I’m so sick of people idolizing and looking up to murderers, pedophiles, and horrible people. Why can we not look up to people who truly make positive change and help others. People who innovate and lead the way for society. I understand that another bad decision doesn’t right a wrong one - but where are we going to draw the line.

Having several severe consequences for people making life changing decisions is necessary. We need to accept that (some) people are not good -they are not going to do the “right” thing in life- but why do we punish everyone for their mistakes.

Capital punishment is not a good thing, but it’s a system that works for the greater good of all people. We should R&D alternatives other than capital punishment.

-As of today, there are none substantially equivalent enough to implement into the DOJ. I’m open minded about alternatives, but I have to look at statistical factual data that shows primiss to our lives.

Thank you so much for reading my GrantTalk. 😊
