Midnight Rumble (aka Roadracers Street Theme)

This is the full original recording of “Midnight Rumble” for the 1994 Robert Rodriguez film “Roadracers,” for which Johnny Reno and I wrote the music. It’s taken directly from my copy of the studio soundtrack CD dated October 1 1996.

This goes out to all the fans of the music for Roadracers and especially to my Russian Roadracers friends who encouraged me to put this out. Evidentially a lot of people have been looking for this for many years. I’ve always enjoyed the comments on YouTube complimenting the music Johnny and I did for the film and also really get a kick out of the various cover versions I’ve heard. I’m happy to share the original with everyone.

I should also say that there is a vocal version of “Midnight Rumble” which Johnny sang but which does not appear in the film. I think everyone would enjoy hearing that as well. Check back here in the next weeks and I’ll have that up as well.
