1948 Zenith CobraMatic plays The Banana Boat Song (Day-O)

This Harry Belefonte classic was recorded in 1955 and released in 1956 on the Long Play (LP) 33rpm album Calypso, just a few years after my 1948 Zenith CobraMatic made its debut. The Zenith CobraMatic can be adjusted to play 7, 10, and 12-inch LPs, as well as 33-1/3 rpm, 45 rpm and 78 rpm records with just a turn of a knob. And it can play up to six platters, with auto drop. It's all electro-mechanical, but the functions it can do are no different from multi-CD disk changers of the early 2000s. Pretty awesome, eh?
