Safeguards Against Military Encroachments-Federalist no. 26

In this episode, Hamilton confronts dissenters calling for a prohibition of a standing military, Hamilton provides the safeguard involved with the legislature holding the purse. Military oppression will need incremental augmentations with conspiring executive and legislative branches, state government's will work to admonish their constituency of military encroachments, and finally the consanguinity that derives the principle against military establishments.
