Is Congress Getting Rid Of The Insurrection Act?
Yesterday it was reported that as part of the COVID stimulus bill, congress was getting rid of the Insurrection act. As it turns out there is a proposed change to the insurrection act but it was in a defense spending bill as an amendment that requires the President and the Secretary of defense notify congress but does not get rid of the insurrection act.
