Trump BLOCKS Stimulus Bill, Demands $2000 STIMULUS CHECKS

So yeah, gender programs in Pakistan, I’m sorry if I offend anyone in Pakistan, I’m sure you were all really looking forward to these gender programs, but this is not the time to use US tax payer money for that. We need to help people struggling in our country first. Then there is aid to the Egyption military, over a billion dollars! And even AOC is out there on twitter talking about how outrageous this bill is, it seems they didn’t even read it before voting on it.

Members of Congress have not read this bill. It’s over 5000 pages, arrived at 2pm today, and we are told to expect a vote on it in 2 hours.

This isn’t governance. It’s hostage-taking.

I don’t agree with AOC on much, but she really hit the nail on the head with this one. So that is the first issue, all the extra stuff hidden in the omnibus spending bill that has the COVID relief bill attached to it.

But then we have the size of the stimulus checks, here is what president Trump said about that.

So you can see he calls for $2000 checks, which is certainly closer to the number that would actually make a difference to people’s lives, someone commented on yesterday’s video saying $600 is three swipes for me.

And that is true. But you know what Pelosi agrees, here is what she says…

Republicans repeatedly refused to say what amount the President wanted for direct checks. At last, the President has agreed to $2,000 — Democrats are ready to bring this to the Floor this week by unanimous consent. Let’s do it!

Now that is true, they probably exercised a strategy there, I may lean more republican than democrat, but when there is a sneaky strategy on either side I’ll let you know. They probably purposefully didn’t state a number, so the Democrats would go too low and they could call them out for being nasty. But the D’s took the bait, you would assume they would just match the $1200 people got last time, but they didn’t, they lowballed. So anyway, I think the amount will be amended to $2000, but as for the other stuff getting taken out, such as gender programs in Pakistan, or funding for the Kennedy center that isn’t even open. I don’t think that will get taken out, because the bill already has a veto proof majority, so congress can override Trump’s veto, and Trump knows this too.

That is probably why he just appointed a load of people to the board of the Kennedy center so they can control how the money is spent.

Anyway guys we will see what happens, I think it is still likely that you will get a check, hopefully for $2000. The optics right now would be too bad if the second stimulus check was really cancelled. And the bill is veto proof, so they can force it through, even with all that crazy stuff in it. Personally I would prefer to not have $2000 and keep all this crazy stuff out, but a lot of people are suffering so I hope you get what you need.
