Mountain bluebird (scientific name Mountain bluebird) belongs to the family Sulfin. The female's color is duller than the beautiful blue male, and she has nothing but a colored streak over her brown-gray plumage. The male song is soft and melodious. Blue larvae live in open spaces, like alpine fields planted with trees. In winter, they migrate south to Mexico. Mountain blue is about 18 cm long, inhabiting forested mountains and alpine fields, and generally nesting in a tree hole, and the female lays 5 or 6 eggs that hatch after 14 days. It feeds on insects and fruit during the winter, and spreads in Mexico, western and the United States as far as southern Alaska.
