Abandoned Psychiatric Hospital Grounds East Side walkaround

Today, we were at an #abandoned #psychiatric #hospital that closed in 1996. Over time, many buildings were #demolished and what is left is now part of the state parks system or private land. The grounds are sprawling and it takes time to go through them all. In this one, we walked the grounds on the east side of the property. We are always impressed by the #architecture of the time. In its own way, it brings you into the time of the #past and to a part of something that is slowly disappearing. We saw many different types of buildings from large to small as well as a few homes that likely were for staff. Most are falling down and in very poor condition, but impressive none-the-less. Some of the scenes, even though staged by others (the chair), add to the #eerie vibes many times associated with abandoned sites.
