病原体ウイルスの存在を調べるためにPCR検査が用いられています。もともとPCR検査は、遺伝子の断片を調べるものであり、病原体を検出しているという保証はありません。しかも、各国検査機関が用いている検査マニュアルや各会社が出しているPCRキットで用いられているプライマーという短い遺伝子は、それぞれに違うという状態で、極めて多様です。同じウイルスを検出する目的であれば、プライマーは共通の1セットがあれば済むはずです。なぜ、このような多様なプライマーが用意されているのでしょうか。その結果として、使うプライマーによって、違ったウイルスが同じ名称で呼ばれることになりかねません。多種多様な検査基準があるようなものです。
　このような多様性はまさにカオスの世界です。遺伝子の多様性があることが、生命システム全体の安定性につながることがよく知られています。個体数の少ない常在ウイルスも、このような遺伝子の多様な集団だからこそ、安定な状態にあると考えられます。PCRはピンポイントで、遺伝子のある部分の高い相動性を検査するわけですから、現在騒動になっているウイルスと、どこかの一部分でよく似たウイルスという集団を考えて、このウイルス群を大きく新コロ関係ウイルス群というような名称でグルーピングしてしまうと、日本人全員、人類全員陽性になってしまいます。そう考えれば、ワクチンやマスクなどの感染防止策もいらなくなるります。人類の長い歴史を通じて、ずっとこのような状態だったのです。要は考え方次第というわけです。
