For the past 5 yrs or more the Lord has given me a desire to sing this song. I had heard a beautiful version of it but could never find it again. After singing Mary Did You Know I prayed and asked the Lord what to sing next. I am always singing here at home but lately I've really been seeking Him as to what He wants to hear me sing. I've always prayed over my music but much more seriously as of late. I felt Him with me so strong on Mary Did You Know, I asked Him about it. The Holy Spirit brought to memory as a child how at my birthday how much I enjoyed hearing my mother tell me the story of the day I was born. It was then I realized that He does too. As most of us do. My children too. It really touched my heart. So I really wanted to go deeper with this. I prayed Lord what is in your heart about this song O Come O Come Emmanuel? I researched information on it and found out that it was over 1,200 yrs old and possibly one of the oldest sung Christmas songs. As led by the Holy Spirit He helped me to do the melody on this. I stuck to the original but in some places just took off in the Spirit. While singing it the Lord ministered to me His love of Israel and the day we are in. He has given the Age of Grace to the Gentile world for 2,000 yrs. The Gentile world is at the end of it's days and harvest is soon approaching, Israel is expecting at any moment their Messiah. They will be deceived at first but the Lord loves and is faithful to return and rescue His people Israel. It is all in front of us. Prophecy being fulfilled as never before.
