EVOLUTION: The Hidden Agenda

This 55 minute film looks at evolution from a different perspective, that of the impact of the principles of evolution on our culture and thinking. It shows that the true battle is not taking place on a scientific level, this is a spiritual battle that has resulted in major changes in our culture, morality, education, government, and even in how we think and understand ourselves, as well as impacting Christianity and our understanding of God.

While we have been focusing on the scientific debate, a debate we have been winning, the principles of evolution have been applied throughout our culture, radically changing how we think. While scientific work is very much needed, and our scientific efforts should be increased, we cannot ignore what has been happening as a result of the cultural and spiritual impact of evolutionary principles.

This film points our a few areas in which the principles of evolution have changed how we think. For example, applying the principles of evolution means that people have no intrinsic value, and may actually be worth less than sheep, chickens, potatoes, or wheat. After all, they are just chemicals like us, but they don't harm the environment like we do. (This is actually taught in universities.) The result is that 8% of babies in the Netherlands are killed after they are born, and surveys show college freshmen are significantly more narcissistic and self-centered. After all, what else is there? It's all about me, and what I want.

This video gets to the root of the problem, revealing that evolution is actually a religion, and thus we need to respond to the onslaught of evolutionary thought and principles as we do other false religions. It is a spiritual battle, and what we need, as described in Ephesians 6, is the full armor of God, including the sword of scripture and the power of prayer. Whether dealing with the impact of evolutionary thinking, or responding to the nearness of the end times, the answer is the gospel. The video then ends, of course, with a strong gospel presentation
