Solo Hiking One of Australia’s Most Difficult Trails

Two weeks ago I ticked Frenchman’s Cap off my bucket list of hikes to do. For that haven’t heard of it, it’s renowned as being one of the more difficult multi day hikes you can do in Australia. On the first day I hiked 24.9km from the trailhead to Tahune Hut. There was some epic views, plenty of lush greenery and a heated hut to rest my wary legs at the end of the day. The second day I summited Frenchman’s Cap, chilled out for a bit before freezing my ass and making my way back down. I ventured back through the forest of Narnia before setting up camp at Vera Hut. The third and final day saw me leaving at first light and covered 15.5km in 4 hours to make it back to my car before lunch. If you’re up for a challenge, this is a trail I cannot recommend enough.
