Dec. 15 - 2:30 PM - Less than a half-hour after the mountain lion attacked, I stumbled upon the weaners freaked out in the bushes. I had retrieved a rifle from the house, inspected the site of the attack, and walked around the immediately surrounding area. The weaners were still near their shelter and followed me around for a while, but were not going to follow me into the woods to look for their brethren and the lion. Even they thought that I was going to become the hunted!
