How I Use Make-Up To Emphasise My Scars - Not Hide Them | SHAKE MY BEAUTY
Uwe Westmeier, 19, from Oklahoma City, was just one year old when she was in a house fire and suffered over 40% burns on her face and body. She had to undergo multiple surgeries and was left with scars on her face and arms in particular. Growing up, Uwe would cover up her arms and legs and never wanted to wear short sleeves or shorts that would reveal her scars. But now the beauty enthusiast sees her scars as something to celebrate because they tell her story of survival and no longer hides them. Uwe uses her Instagram and Youtube accounts to post bold makeup looks and makeup tutorials without covering up her facial scars in layers of foundation. Here she shows how to create a colourful eye look using a rainbow palette of powders - and sticky tape.
