The Monks - Suspended Animation (1981) [Complete LP]
One Of Our Deleted Albums Series
The Monks were created by Richard Hudson and John Ford, who had recorded previously as Hudson-Ford (I'll upload some Hudson-Ford albums in future)
The Monks released two albums, this one being the band's second release.
Suspended Animation was released on 1981 on the Polydor label, catalogue number PDS-1-6314. Unfortunately The Monks did not achieve the commercial success their talents deserved and both albums by The Monks were deleted by the 1990's. The Monks albums were -re-released on CD by a re-issue label but those re-issue CDs are (as far as I'm aware) no longer available.
Richard Hudson and John Ford had a strong sense of humor (much of which will be hated by today's woke and politically correct crowd) and the comes out strongly in their lyrics. A lot of their humor was directed toward parodying the punk scene which was prevalent at the time this album was released.
The audio here was taken from a 1981 Canadian pressing of the original vinyl LP.
