Introduction by Victor Hafichuk

Hi everyone. It’s all about the Lord Jesus Christ. That’s what it’s all about. That’s what life is all about. That’s what everything around us is about.

My name is Victor Hafichuk and I would like to tell the world that I walk with Him, and He walks with me. The Lord Jesus Christ is my life. I love Him, because as the Bible says, He first loved me. I would like the whole world to know about Him. I would like the whole world to experience Him, as a Person – directly, personally.

I would like to see people all around me, it doesn’t matter who it is, I don’t care who you are. I don’t care if it’s a believer or unbeliever. I don’t care if you’re Catholic or Buddhist or atheist or Muslim or whatever. My heart’s desire, my goal, my reason for being, is to identify with the Lord Jesus Christ in this world. I’d like to publish the News everywhere that He lives. Jesus Christ raised Himself from the dead around 2000 years ago and He lives today, and I know Him and I walk with Him. I’m thankful for that. Is it because of anything that I’ve done or anything that I’ve had? No, not at all. I’m totally unworthy. I really am.

I just wanted want to let you in on something that happened here just a few moments ago. This is my first video in terms of speaking to people. My wife Marilyn was helping me to set this thing up and I was getting a little frustrated with her and this is just before I’m supposed to be coming on, and what, feeling good about talking to everybody?

But there it is. It’s the frailty of humanity. It’s my frailty. I have nothing of any worth to me and myself – nothing, absolutely nothing. And, neither do you. Nobody has anything going for them. If there was only one person living on earth, Jesus Christ would have had to die on the cross and raise Himself from the dead to save that person. I don’t care who that person is – it doesn’t matter. There was only One Righteous Life ever lived on this planet and that was Jesus Christ when He walked the earth for 33 some years.

We’re all unworthy, every last one of us. I remember back in 1997 the Lord pressing home to me the fact that we are all in wrongness. It was around 2002, 2003, that we started to preach on the internet and our site is ThePathofTruth.com. I just had that desire to get the message out, to tell the people the things that the Lord had been teaching me ever since 1973.

I’m so thankful to know the things that I know. I’m so thankful to be able to speak, to share those things with others. I’m so thankful for what the Lord’s done for us. It was hard. It was a long journey. It was a battle, but the promise is kept. The promises that the Lord makes to us as believers, as spiritual pilgrims, sojourners, here in this world, they come to pass. I can tell you, I can tell you, that if a person walks with the Lord, continues in that path, to the end, overcomes to the end, their reward is there.

Never doubt it. And it will often look otherwise, but you need to believe. You need to believe His Word. You can’t believe appearances. You can’t believe men. You can’t believe yourself. You have to let go of what you’ve been believing, if it’s contrary to what He tells you, if it’s contrary to what He shows you in life and in the Scriptures, you’re going to have to let go.

People say “Victor, you believe what you want to believe.” You hear that. It’s not true. I do want to believe what I believe, now, but there was a time when I did not want to believe the truth and that’s the way it is with everybody, everybody. And in order to believe the truth you’re going to have to let go of yourself. You’re going to have to let go of what you believe. That’s the way it is. So no, I don’t believe what I want to believe – I do now; that’s the way it is, now that I’ve come through. But there was a time when I did not want to believe the truth. I wanted to believe what I believed.

I was born and raised Catholic. Not that it matters, it doesn’t matter whether you’ve been Catholic, or Baptist, or Pentecostal, or Salvation Army, or Mormon, or Jehovah’s Witness, or any of those – any of them, doesn’t matter. It’s not about church. It’s not about religion. It’s not about some sort of religious practice or philosophy or anything like that. No.

People say, “You’re religious.”

I say, “No.”

“But you mentioned Jesus Christ.”

Yes, what’s that got to do with religion? Religion is His enemy. Religion is man-made. Religion is abominable to the Lord Jesus Christ and because He has taken me out of religion, because He has given me reality, He’s given me life, and now I proclaim Him and just because He has been connected to religion – quite centrally, of course, in the Christian religion. Therefore, people say I’m religious.

Well, partly that’s to be understood, but really, I want you to know, this is not about religion. This is not about church. This is not about formality. This is not about good things to think about or talk about. This is not about piety on our part, by our virtue. It’s about the Lord Jesus Christ and He has nothing to do with religion.

Religion slew Him. Religion crucified Him. Religion is man’s works, man’s effort of trying to be right with God, assuming, presuming to be right with God, and man is going about it the wrong way altogether. It has to be the Lord’s righteousness, not ours. Ours is His enemy. Our righteousness is His enemy. It says that the carnal mind is at enmity with God. Flesh lusts against the spirit and the spirit against the flesh.

There’s another reason why people say I’m religious. It’s because I believe the Bible. I know the Bible. I know that it’s God Who put the Bible together, I know that. A lot of people don’t believe that. And, the Bible is not about religion. It’s God’s expression to mankind and a description of His program of salvation for all of mankind. Did I say all of mankind? Yes, yes, all of mankind. The Lord is in the process of forming man in His image. I’m so thankful to know these things.

I’m going to be posting, Lord willing, I’m going to be talking, just rambling like I am right now, talking to you about the things that I want to talk about, things that just come to my mind that the Lord may be giving me or that I may think of, either way. I want to express those things. I want to post them. I want the world to know that I love the Lord Jesus Christ. I want the world to know about Him. I want the world to know what His will is. I want the world to know how to enter into that relationship with Him, if He is willing. He has to choose us, we really can’t choose Him. It’s like He said to His disciples, the apostles, “You haven’t chosen Me, I’ve chosen you.”

So, Lord willing, I’ll be able to share with you, and the words that I speak may well serve to be seed planted in good soil that will bring good fruit, and in all of it the Lord needs to be glorified. Not us. Not our movements. Not our works. Not numbers. Not accomplishments of any kind. No, no, it’s just the Lord Jesus Christ. And whether we have many coming with us or not doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter.

In fact, the Lord does say there won’t be many. It’s only the very few that come through that narrow gate and walk on that narrow path; very few. Most people take the broad way, the way that seems easiest, most pleasant and has the most social benefits. But if you’re going to walk with the Lord, you’re going to have to take up your cross, and that means to choose the truth against yourself – against yourself. That’s the cross – to forsake yourself for the truth, to forsake yourself for the calling on your life.

Do you want the Lord Jesus Christ? You can’t simply “accept Him.” You can’t simply “believe” Him in the sense that we think of the word, “believe.” You need to take up your cross. You need to let go of yourself. He alone can do that for you. You can’t even do that. You’re called to do it, you’re called to repent but He has to give you the power, the grace to do that.

That’s Jesus Christ the Savior. We need a Savior, totally, not partially. We can’t work together as though we have some virtue, some power – doesn’t work that way. It’s all His. It’s all His work. And all we do is respond to what he is doing with us. That’s how it works.

I’m hoping that I’ll be able to talk to you in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and give you His Words, His Heart, His Spirit, so that you know that it’s the Lord talking to you. I’m not asking you for anything; I’m just telling you what’s happening. I’m telling you Who He is. I’m telling you what He does in my life and in the lives of others. I’d like to give you some understanding, if I can. God willing all these things will be happening. I’m glad that you were able to see this today.
