Vanessa had battled severe bulimia and anorexia that began when she was very young. It had a hold on her life by the age of 16 and a paralyzing depression had kept her in dark isolation. She had dreams of becoming a professional ballet dancer and was on her way to great success, but still felt empty and miserable inside. Things became worse with her eating disorder and friends abandoned her. She turned to alcohol to numb the pain.
It was only after 20 hospital visits later and becoming too weak to dance or even walk, that she had a supernatural encounter with Jesus! Her vocals were held back, she heard an audible voice say to her,"Wake up Vanessa. The King is coming soon. The King is coming soon, the King is coming soon." From that point forward, she became a Spirit-filled, Bible believing follower of Jesus the Messiah.
