Can I start homeschooling mid-year?

Is the holiday break a good time to start homeschooling?

There are 3 things you need to think about!
1) What does the law say about starting mid-year? Homeschool laws are determined by your state, so to find out what is allowed, Google your state + homeschool law to learn more.
2) What is your plan longer term? If you want to transition back into public school next quarter or next year, it's a good idea to reach out to the administrators of the school to find out what re-entry would require.
3) Take your time! Don't rush into starting schoolwork at home. No matter what the law is in your area, you have more flexibility and freedom than in a public school, so use it!
