Wisconsin Supremes Rule Against Mail-in Votes!, 3399

I’m still reporting on the coup.
A big win for team Trump yesterday. The Wisconsin Supreme Court has ruled that the governor of Wisconsin exceeded his authority when he allowed Wisconsin voters to skip voter ID requirements in the 2020 election by claiming that they were too infirmed to physically appear to present their identification to claim the right to vote by mail.
In a case challenging the practice in Dane County, a large urban center around the city of Madison, The Supreme Court ruled that voters had to prove that their age, physical illness or infirmity, makes them housebound, and thereby allowed to avoid complying with the requirement to present a photo ID in person to obtain a Mail-in ballot.
The lawsuit claimed that the COVID-19 pandemic and shut-down orders were not sufficient under Wisconsin law to allow absolutely anyone to qualify to receive a mail-in ballot based on the mere assertion that they were housebound and thereby could skip proving their identity in accordance with the state’s voter ID requirements.
The scheme was widely used across the nation to justify having unaccountable mail-in ballots sent out indiscriminately to be harvested by paid groups who would do the voting in Biden’s favor, then returned en-masse and anonymously by dropping them in the many voting boxes scattered around the state.
According to the court’s ruling:
“We conclude that both the contention that electors qualify as indefinitely confined solely as the result of the COVID-19 pandemic and the declared public health emergency and the contention that Wisconsin [law] could be used for those who ‘have trouble presenting a valid ID’ are erroneous because those reasons do not come within the statutory criteria.”
Biden leads Trump in Wisconsin and by about 20,000 votes, however, the court filings indicate nearly 200,000 voters declared themselves permanently confined in the state's spring primary, and even more made similar declarations before the general election to justify mail-in ballots.
The ruling opens wide the door for Republicans to challenge those votes if it can't be shown that the voters weren't sick or elderly as required by law, but because many of the ballot envelopes had been discarded there seems little hope of being able to do that. Therefore, Republicans will undoubtedly argue that the entire group of mail-in ballots must be discarded, leaving Trump with more than enough votes to claim victory in Wisconsin.

I’m still reporting from just outside the citadel of American freedom. Good day.
