In the second half of the eighteenth century, the 13 British colonies in North America were tired of the British exploitation, which sought to increase its “revenue” in order to fight the 7 Years War. Noticing the increasing discontentment of the settlers, the British decided to travel to America and confiscate all guns and gunpowder. This lit the fuse for the settlers to start acting against the British crown. A revolution then started, with the colonies declaring war against the worlds most powerful country at the time for their freedom. The settlers won the war and achieved their Independence on July 4th, 1776, fulfilling the dream of secession.
