[Note: The description below is from my original 4/25/12 upload on Youtube when I was still figuring out video editing with Sony Vegas. As I recall, I didn't know to disable resampling in Vegas at that time, so the video quality is a bit poor.]

Alright, so I finally figured out how to crop out the black portions around my gameplay recordings using some video editing software. So no more unnecessary black areas on uploads. Hooray!

Also, I fiddled around with the control settings in GoldenEye and finally found a setup that works for me. The default settings weren't responsive enough for me, were limiting my movement and causing the camera to automatically tilt up or down whenever I went up or down a hill/set of stairs. I couldn't stand that.

I figured out how to fix the automatic tilting problem.

Just go to Options, Control Settings, Wii Remote Presets, Customize, Camera Style.

Once you're in the Camera Style settings menu, switch "Turn Style" to "Wii Remote Turning." This will allow you to keep the camera steady even as you move up and down hills/stairs. By default the game sets this mode to "Wii Remote Turning (X Only)" which restricts your vertical aiming and causes the automatic tilting. With my settings I have much greater freedom of movement.

Aside from that, I adjusted the dead zone and the turning/cursor speeds until I got them where I wanted them.

The game is much easier to control now. I think I like it more!

Recorded with the Hauppauge HD PVR and the Wii's component cables. I'm using the Wii remote and nunchuck.
