Here is another one of the greatest locomotives to be ever produced in a Ho scale (1:87Scale) Model form that Athearn Trains has produced in it's Genesis line which would be a Premium line of model trains.

Now this locomotive is based of the real locomotive or prototype that sits in museums across the nation. The FP45 was basically a EMD SD45 locomotive and given a cowl style body some say others say differently on that subject but The Santa Fe new it had to draw in passengers to the Santa Fe Railroad They eventually came up with the idea from the failing GE U30CG that was converted into a passenger locomotive that the General public didn't like at all so Santa Fe decided to task there mechanical department to find a new design that would please the public thus the Santa Fe mechanical department came up with the FP45 EMD diesel locomotive that then EMD got a hold of via request to make the locomotive for the Santa Fe.
