Experiment, how we Japanese survived after WWII
Just after WWII 1945, we didn't have enough foods. Additionally many soldiers returning from outside Japan, the situation got worse. Almost half of population in Japan were suffering nutritional deficiency and the many facing the starvation.
American food aid started in 1946, but the main carbohydrate in US was flour. So we had to cook it somehow but we didn't know how those days, besides most of cooking tools we had lost, cause submitted the iron, copper and other metallic materials for military equipment. Therefore even if flour there, we still had no food actually.
Then someone got an idea to bake it instantly, very simple and effective. That is the one I'll show in this video. I also used this experiment in my science class and they have enjoyed much. Since this can easily be done at home, it could also be a good education material for homeschooling both in science and our history.
