Kindergarten Math 1.1, Model and Count 1 and 2

In this lesson we learn to count 1 and 2 objects. We learn to represent the number of objects with the correct number of counters in a five frame. We trace the number 1 with our finger for right and left-handed students. We trace the number 2 with our finger for right and left-handed students. We trace the numbers 1 and 2 and draw a line to match the number to the correct number of animals. For the parents, one and two are sight words. They cannot be sounded out phonetically. Children are to memorize them as a whole by sight. See the link below for more information about sight words.
