Do Christians Know More about Star Wars than the Savior?

I love Star Wars but I also love Jesus. After watching The Mandalorian chapter 13 (season 2, episode 5) and then YouTube videos about the show, I started to wonder if Christian Star Wars fans know more about Star Wars than they do about Jesus.Show more

I look at this thought from two angles: (1) our passion for the teachings and (2) our passion for the people.

First, I look at our passion for the teachings, writings, and philosophy of Star Wars (especially the Jedi and the Force) and compare it to our passion for God's Word. I note how the Bible teaches that we should have a passion for Scripture

Second, I look at our connection to and relationship with the characters of Star Wars (e.g., Luke, Leia, Darth Vader) and compare it to our relationship with Jesus. Again, I show that Scripture tells us we should have a passion for--a growing relationship with--the risen Savior, Jesus.
