Nam Pham on American Elections and Freedoms vs. Communist Vietnam True the Vote 2020

Nam Pham was born in Vietnam. He is now an American citizen and business and government executive. In this video, he discusses the communist government in his home country, which has imprisoned many citizens for calling for free and fair elections. Nam emphasizes the freedoms we often take for granted in the U.S., which they don't have in Vietnam, including the right or the privilege for citizens to vote, to run for office, and to have a say in what matters most in your life.

Nam also discusses how communist leaders start out by cloaking themselves under some other pretense, such as socialism or nationalism, and then use terror or force to gain control. When people are fearful, they will fall into the lie. Communism is the number one evil and the biggest threat to all of us. Voting is our number one weapon for protecting our democracy, he says, and that's why we need organizations like True the Vote to ensure our vote is counted.
