Thanks to Mr. Fleetwood for bringing these back from Pa. for us.
It's finally the right season to crack the last 2 I've been holding from Yuengling Brewing, Americas Oldest Brewery.
Running 4.7 ABV the IBUs for a Porter usually run between 18-40, this one is Bitter like dark chocolate somewhere in the 20s. The SRM by my eye is going to run very dark,200-ish is best guess.
An nice nose, some of the chocolate and sweetness but not overly malty. The initial hit is rich but not heavy, again bitter like the dark chocolate, smooth and silky w the caramel coming on. Medium fast thru the middle and she finishes of dirty and tasty.
Thanks for coming by and watching.
