In this video, I help Susan Oyler improve her swim technique:
Major items to work on:
1. Work on straightening your arm "above" you instead of "in front" of you. This will stop you from pushing water foward.
2. Kick with your legs together and only about 12" of seperation. Don't scissor your legs and maintain a steady rhythm with the kick.
3. Put your arms and hands together during your streamlines. This will help you understand overall body positioning in the water as well as help you not lose a crazy amount of speed from your wall pushoffs.
