One Minute Piano For Singers - Beginner Lesson 5

In "One Minute Piano For Singers - Beginner Lesson #5", you will learn the right hand notes of the E major chord, along with the root note of the chord for your left hand.

— a root note is a single note within a chord that has the same name as the chord. For example, the root note of an A chord is an A. The root note of an E chord is an E, and so on.

In this lesson you will be introduced to a new sharp — G#, which is the middle note of the E major chord.

You will also get plenty of practice playing the E major chord in the right hand while playing a simple bass note with your left hand.

Chords are the key component to every song ever written, especially for vocalists. If you truly want to understand music at a deep level, then it’s imperative that you focus on chords.

This is the reason why I will be teaching you basic chords for your right hand and simple bass notes for your left hand for the first month.

Once you have a dozen chords or so under your belt, I will show you how to switch from one chord to another smoothly and easily.

The video lessons at One Minute Piano For Singers are designed to help busy people of all age and skill levels learn how to play the piano.

Many people today don’t have time to attend lessons in person, or to practice an hour or more every day.

The video lessons at “One Minute Piano For Singers” are developed to provide short bursts of instruction that CAN be learned very quickly.

Even though I will be uploading a new one minute piano lesson for singers every day, you can progress at a pace that is comfortable for you.

Each video lesson will feature on-screen EZ Read sheet music with the letter name of each note displayed inside each note head.

An interactive piano keyboard will be displayed at the bottom of each video showing where each note in the sheet music is located on the piano keyboard.

Right hand notes will always be displayed as blue keys on the interactive piano keyboard - and notes played with your left hand will always be displayed as gold keys on the interactive piano keyboard. This will make it much easier to distinguish right hand notes from left hand notes.

To keep each video lesson as short as possible, commentary will be kept to a minimum, which shouldn’t be a problem since each lesson is designed to be extremely intuitive.

Please post questions in the Comments Section. I will respond to all comments and questions within 24 to 48 hours.

I also offer one minute piano lessons for people who don’t sing and just want to learn how to play the piano for their own personal enjoyment. You can visit my One Minute Piano channel by clicking the following link:

Thank you for your interest in One Minute Piano For Singers.

For anyone who has subscribed to One Minute Piano in addition to One Minute Piano For Singers; you may have noticed that the lessons are very similar.

On both channels I will be focusing on chords, but the main difference is vocalists will put a stronger emphasis on playing chords with the right hand.

Non-vocalists will focus on playing chords with the left hand while they play the melody with their right hand.

Vocalists normally DON’T play the melody on the piano…they sing it.

In One Minute Piano For Singers, you will learn how to accompany yourself or another vocalist on piano using sheet music, chords and chord charts.

Enjoy!
