# Back Yard Birds Hawai’i Chirpy Girl
Since we are having so many Female Northern Cardinals coming to visit us I have nicknames for them this gal is very “Chirpy” it’s how she lets us know she’d like some seeds since I put them away when our favorite species are finished eating there is only a single male Northern Cardinal maybe the territory’s are just for males I’ve read that the Northern Cardinals are territorial and for a long time this was true until the original pair’s male disappeared and the female found a different male since then we have now 6 females visiting us it’s really interesting that each has a distinct personality and also favorite foods (seeds) we like them all but will always have a special place for the original pair of Cardinals that got us started on paying attention to the birds around our Backyard
