Matthew 12:36 says, "every useless expression that men shall utter, they shall render, concerning it, an account, in a day of judgment" (Rotherham’s Emphasized Bible). In this lesson we will examine the useless expression, "God moves in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform." We see that the origins of this teaching is not founded in Scripture but in the pagan gnosticism of the so-called 16th century reformer, John Calvin.
