Backlit by the Setting Sun, Op 83

Sitting at the shore on the sand, I drink in the air,
And watch the sun as it embraces the horizon.
Then, a beautiful woman gracefully strides in front of me.
She is tall, slender, with large expressive eyes.
I smile at her, and she returns it as she passes.
She approaches the water, and stands at the edge,
Which gets only her feet and ankles wet.
All one sees is but a silhouette, as the last crimson rays erode.
Her golden hair, backlit, rustled by the sea breeze.
For a moment, I am not of this world.
