Prominent Hong Kong activists sent to prison. Hong Kong's best known young politicians have been jailed over a 2019 demonstration. Joshua Wong, Agnes Chow, and Ivan Lam were sentenced to between 7-13.5 months in jail. They were convicted of "inciting an unauthorized assembly" in June 2019. The protest was against the police's excessive use of force. They must be released immediately and unconditionally and the Hong Kong police must be held accountable for their handling of protests. End the crackdown on dissent in Hong Kong!
