I don't know about you, but I have more than a few friends and acquaintances, who would be considered to not be particularly smart.Show more

For some, there's serious underestimation at play. For others, the assessment appears to be a totally fair one.

That said, even those who would be looked at as "lacking acumen upstairs" are still generally good, kind, generous (sometimes to a fault), loving, truly nice people.

I believe we've entered an era of sufficient incivility, that the people in question might be considered "stupid."

That's not only sad to me, but shows the misfortune of the current moment.
