Powerless Christian Clichés Versus God’s Powerful Word (Part 1)

A cliché is "an expression, idea, or action that has been overused to the point of seeming worn out, stale, ineffective, or meaningless" (Dictionary.com). In Matthew 12:36 Jesus said, "every useless expression that men shall utter, they shall render, concerning it, an account, in a day of judgment" (Rotherham’s Emphasized Bible). Sadly, the body of Christ has too many of these expressions which makes so many people lazy and powerless. In these lessons we will see why we must reject useless "Christian" clichés and focus on God's Word which has the power to change circumstances.
